Welcome to the website for the athletic leagues of the Washington Recreation Association and the Washington Park District. This website is a collaboration of the two organizations to better inform our participants, parents, coaches and officials of the many different athletic sports that we offer.
If you have never logged on to the website before, go to the "Edit my Account" button on the bottom left, enter your email address that was provided during registration and hit enter without a password. A password will be sent to you. The email address must match with the one we have on file. If you are not set up in our system, you did not provide us with an email address, or you gave us a different email address. You will need to contact the Washington Park District to confirm your email address.
Coaches, players and parents should take a moment to edit their account.
While you edit your account, you will want to select to receive email alerts of important information as it relates to your team including schedule reminders, schedule changes, information from your coach as well as game cancelations due to weather. You may also receive text alerts if you chose.
You will not receive spam. We will only communicate the information that pertains to the sports and teams in which your child participates. This will include publicity of upcoming registration deadlines.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
In an effort to provide ALL baseball players in the WRA baseball program an opportunity to develop their fundamental baseball skills, clinics will be offered for all WRA participants. Clinics will take place on Monday afternoons from 5:30 – 7:30 PM on the baseball fields in Washington Park. The dates of the clinics are April 28, May 5, May 12 and May 19. Each week the focus will be on a specific baseball skill such as hitting, throwing, fielding or base running. Players will be divided by grade
This is a reminder about the in-house Player Evaluation Day this coming weekend, April 12th and 13th, from 1-4pm each Day at Washington Park. This is your opportunity to come out and show coaches your baseball skills. You just need to bring your baseball equipment (glove, bat, etc.) with you to the evaluation (wear cleats if you have them).
It is suggested that you arrive by 12:45pm. When you enter Washington Park a WRA baseball committee representative will direct you to the appropriate field.
They are calling for rain on Sunday. If it does rain on Sunday we WILL NOT have an indoor evaluation – we will just go with what we got done on Saturday. Players only need to attend one evaluation – not both.
The Washington Park District is accepting T-Ball registrations for the 2014 summer season thru March 1. Tee Ball is open to boys and girls ages 4-5. Players must turn 4 before July 1, 2014 and cannot turn 6 during the season. The league is a co-ed instructional league stressing sportsmanship and the development of baseball/softball fundamentals. Two leagues will be formed based on age. Show your community support by coaching young athletes. It takes 2 - 3 hours per week to coach in the T-ball league. Please consider volunteering to coach. All registrations received by the deadline will be guaranteed to play. Registrations received after the deadline will be placed on a wait list and are not guaranteed placement on a team. Team requests will be limited to siblings. Team and individual pictures are tentatively scheduled for Sunday May 18th. Coaches’ meeting is tentatively scheduled for April 10th

Mouth guards are used in sports where deliberate or accidental impacts to the face and jaws may cause harm. They have become standard equipment in many sports to protect the athlete. The American Dental Association confirms that mouth guards are extremely effective in limiting oral-facial and concussive injuries in contact and non-contact sports.
Athletes with braces need to contact their orthodontist for the recommended mouth guard.
Please call our office at 309-691-9665 to schedule an appointment for the mouth guard to be fitted and placed. We have two facilities available for this service.
Our Peoria office is located at 5006 N University Peoria, IL 61614 across from the Fish House Restaurant, just north of Glen Avenue. Our East Peoria/Washington office is located at 100 Village Dr Washington, IL 61571 across from the main entrance to Illinois Central College and across from the Prairie Home Alliance building on Village Dr.
Please call our office for an available appointment time. A parent or legal guardian should accompany the athlete to the appointment.
